The Core USB-C team, within Core OS, is responsible for the firmware and software needed to bring USB-C to life in many of our products. We are looking for talented individuals who have a genuine interest in writing firmware and software.

Description

You will be responsible for developing new features, debugging issues found by customer and Quality Assurance, code reviews, bringing up new hardware, and ensuring smooth interoperability. You will work closely with multiple cross functional teams and vendors. Responsibilities will span multiple implementations. Key Responsibilities: You will be responsible for developing new USB-C features Triage, debug, and resolve issues in existing and upcoming solutions Work with cross functional teams and vendors

Minimum Qualifications

  • Experience with writing and debugging complex firmware or drivers
  • Knowledge of C
  • BS in Computer Science/Computer Engineering or equivalent experience/skills

  • Familiarity with macOS/iOS toolchain
  • Development experience in macOS
  • Experience with logic analyzers and oscilloscopes
  • Knowledge of using a software/firmware debugger (e.g. LLDB/Xcode, gdb, Kiel µVision, Visual Studio, etc)

Pay & Benefits

  • At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $135,400 and $250,600, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.

    Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple’s discretionary employee stock programs.
